Zing Coach offers two flexible Workout Modes to match your environment:
Home and Gym
Whether you prefer bodyweight sessions in your living room or lifting at the gym, Zing adapts your workout plan based on your location, equipment, and personal preferences.
Switching Between Home and Gym Modes
You can easily switch between Home and Gym workout environments at any time:
From Your Plan Settings:
- Open the Zing Coach app
- Go to the Me tab (person icon)
- Tap the gear icon in the top right corner
- Go to Plan Settings
- Under Workout Plan, select either Home or Gym
- Tap Save — your workouts will instantly update based on your choice
From the Main Screen:
- Tap on Custom Workout
- Choose Adapt Workout and set your Environment to either Home or Gym
Zing will adjust your workout automatically, including exercise selection, available equipment, and overall workout structure.
⚠️ Note: Workouts that include weights and machines are available only in Gym mode. If you're training from home, Zing will exclude these and design effective sessions using bodyweight or any selected home equipment.
How to Customize Workouts
Once your workout is generated, you can personalize it further using the Adapt Workout feature or by replacing individual exercises.
Replace Exercises:
- Open your workout
- Scroll to What You’ll Do
- Tap the 🔁 icon next to any exercise you’d like to change
- Browse replacements by:
- All Exercises
- By Muscle Groups
- By Equipment Available
Zing will suggest alternatives tailored to your current plan and environment.
Adapt Your Workout Settings
Tap Adapt Workout to adjust the following:
- Environment: Choose Home or Gym
