If it feels like Zing Coach keeps recommending Recovery workouts too often, don’t worry — there’s a reason, and a simple way to reset things.
Why Does This Happen?
Zing Coach recommends Recovery workouts when your muscle groups haven’t had enough time to recover from recent activity. This is based on your:
-
Workout history within the app
-
Synced activity from Apple Health (if connected)
-
Estimated muscle load and freshness
The goal is to prevent overtraining and injury, but if you’re feeling ready for something more intense, you can manually update your muscle recovery status.
How to Reset Your Muscle Recovery
Follow these steps to reset your muscle freshness manually:
-
Open the Zing Coach app
-
Tap the Analytics tab (graph icon on the bottom right)
-
Scroll down to Muscle Recovery and tap anywhere on that section
-
Tap Edit in the top right corner
-
Set each muscle group to 100% recovered
This will reset the algorithm and help ensure your next workout recommendation isn’t a Recovery session.
