The first time you use Zing Coach, you'll complete an in-depth Quiz. Here, Zing gets to know you better to generate a personalized workout plan that best suits your needs. Zing asks questions to learn your fitness goals, understand your preferences, and analyze your current and historical activity data and fitness experience.
What will I see when I open Zing for the first time?
Zing Coach has four unique tabs that you can switch to other tabs using the navigation bar across the bottom of your screen.
When you launch Zing Coach, you’ll first see the Workout tab. The other tabs are Analytics, Circles, and Coach.
What information is available in the Workout tab?
The Workout tab is your fitness hub. Here’s where you can see all the details about your workouts and keep track of your progress:
First up, there’s your Activity Streak. This little icon shows how many days you’ve met your activity goals. Click on it for a detailed breakdown, including how your activity compares to a healthy baseline. It’s a great way to stay motivated and see your progress.
Your Workout Schedule is like your fitness calendar. It lays out the next five days of workouts, so you always know what’s coming up. Need to tweak something? You can dive into Plan Details for an overview of your entire workout plan—personalized just for you, based on your goals, fitness level, and preferences.
When it’s time to work out, you’ll see a Daily Workout Summary that includes everything you need: duration, intensity, and the equipment required. Plus, if you want to switch things up, you can customize your workout right there—whether that means swapping exercises, adding a warm-up, or changing the order.
Are you feeling creative? You can use the Custom Workout Generator to design your workouts from scratch. Pick your location, workout type, target areas, and intensity, and let Zing Coach handle the rest.
And if you’re competitive, don’t miss the Challenges section. Every month, a new 30-day challenge keeps you on your toes. Invite your friends, push yourself, and maybe even earn bragging rights!
What can I find in the Analytics tab?
The Analytics tab is where all the magic happens when tracking your progress. It’s packed with detailed information about your past workouts, your activity levels, and how you’re doing on your fitness journey. Here’s a sneak peek:
Your Fitness Journal is like a diary for your workouts. It shows your activity, workout history for the past week, and how many minutes you’ve spent sweating it out.
I'm curious to know what your body composition is. The Body Scan gives you detailed insights if you’ve purchased the scan. If not, you can tap to get started and see how Zing Coach uses image recognition to analyze body fat percentage and lean muscle mass.
After a challenging workout, you can check out your Muscle Recovery status. This feature shows your muscles' fatigue and lets you adjust the levels manually so your future workouts are perfectly personalized.
Your Personalization Level Status is one of the most incredible things in the Analytics tab. This score tells you just how tailored your workouts are to your needs. Want to improve it? Tap the score for tips like taking the Fitness Test or connecting your Apple Watch.
You’ll love the Strength Score & Strength Goal feature if you're focused on building strength. It’s a personalized measure of your strength, with specific benchmarks for exercises like the bench press. Set your goals and watch your strength grow over time.
Is flexibility more your thing? The Flexibility Score & Flexibility Test uses your smartphone camera to analyze your range of motion during simple stretches. The score is tailored by muscle group, age, and gender, so you know exactly where you stand.
The Fitness Score & Fitness Test has you covered for an overall look at your fitness. This test analyzes your form during basic exercises and adjusts your workouts to match your fitness level.
And, of course, the Achievements section is where you can see all the milestones you’ve hit—perfect for extra motivation!
How do Fitness Circles work in Zing Coach?
Fitness is more fun with friends, and that’s where Fitness Circles come in! With Circles, you can connect with your friends, share your workouts, and even challenge each other to stay on track. Here’s how to get started:
First, you can just head to the Circles tab. You’ll see an option to add friends from your device contacts. It's super easy if you’ve got pals already using Zing Coach. If not, no worries! Share your unique invite link, and your friends can enjoy a 7-day pass to try Zing Coach for free.
Once your friends are in your Circle, you can invite them to join challenges with you. Whether it’s a workout challenge or a fitness test, having a little friendly competition can make all the difference in keeping you motivated.
And don’t forget to check out the Leaderboard. This feature lets you see how you and your friends are doing—who’s on top, keeping their Activity Streak alive, and who might need a little nudge to get back in the game.
How does the Coach work?
The AI Coach is a personal trainer in your pocket, ready to guide, motivate, and answer any questions you have. Here’s how you can make the most of it:
You’re conversing with your AI Coach when you open the Coach tab. This isn’t just any chatbot—it’s designed to understand your fitness goals, preferences, and even how you feel today. The AI Coach uses all this information to create personalized workout plans that adapt as you progress.
Do you have a question about your workout? Just ask! The AI Coach is there to help you navigate your workout schedule, explain the exercises, or suggest modifications if something doesn’t feel right. Whether you need more intensity or want to take it easy, your AI Coach adjusts your plan in real-time to keep you on track.
The best part? The AI Coach learns from you. The more you interact and share your feedback, the better it gets at tailoring workouts and advice to suit your needs perfectly. It’s like having a fitness expert on call, 24/7.
